Translation Principle for Dirac Index

چکیده
Let G be a finite cover of a closed connected transpose-stable subgroup of GL(n,R) with complexified Lie algebra g. Let K be a maximal compact subgroup of G, and assume that G and K have equal rank. We prove a translation principle for the Dirac index of virtual (g,K)-modules. As a byproduct, to each coherent family of such modules, we attach a polynomial on the dual of the compact Cartan subalgebra of g. This “index polynomial” generates an irreducible representation of the Weyl group contained in the coherent continuation representation. We show that the index polynomial is the exact analogue on the compact Cartan subgroup of King’s character polynomial. The character polynomial was defined in [K1] on the maximally split Cartan subgroup, and it was shown to be equal to the Goldie rank polynomial up to a scalar multiple. In the case of representations of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension at most half the dimension of G/K, we also conjecture an explicit relationship between our index polynomial and the multiplicities of the irreducible components occuring in the associated cycle of the corresponding coherent family.

Ginsparg-wilson Relation with R = (aγ 5 D)
The Ginsparg-Wilson relation Dγ5 + γ5D = 2aDRγ5D with R = (aγ5D) 2k is discussed. An explicit realization of D is constructed. It is shown that this sequence of topologically-proper lattice Dirac operators tend to a nonlocal operator in the limit k → ∞. This suggests that the locality of a lattice Dirac operator is irrelevant to its index.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to check the psychometric properties of the Persian Individual Protective Factors Index (IPFI). Method: In the current survey, 481 high school students (243 girls) were recruited via multistage cluster sampling. Individual Protective Factors Index was prepared by translation and back translation, and then used for data gathering. Results: Factor analysi...
متن کاملA QUARTIC POTENTIAL FOR THE NUCLEONIC QUARKS
We assume that each valence quark in a nucleon is in a phenomenological modified harmonic oscillator potential of the form: ( l+yo) (ar +br+cr +dr ), where a, b, c and d are constants and ? is one of the Dirac matrices. Then by making use of a suitable ansatz, the Dirac equation has a very simple solution which is exact. We then have calculated the static properties of the nucleon in the ...
متن کاملAspects of domain-wall fermions on the lattice
I derive the generating functional for n-point Green’s function of the effective fermion (quark) fields in domain-wall fermions, and clarify the issues pertainent to finite Ns and the lattice spacing a5 in the fifth dimension. These issues can be examined by computing the index, the axial anomaly, and the fermion determinant of the effective lattice Dirac operator, in 2D abelian background gaug...
متن کاملThe Hamilton-Pontryagin Principle and Multi-Dirac Structures for Classical Field Theories
We introduce a variational principle for field theories, referred to as the HamiltonPontryagin principle, and we show that the resulting field equations are the Euler-Lagrange equations in implicit form. Secondly, we introduce multi-Dirac structures as a graded analog of standard Dirac structures, and we show that the graph of a multisymplectic form determines a multi-Dirac structure. We then d...
